Dubuque Fighting Saints News Release
DUBUQUE, Iowa - This Friday night with the Dubuque Fighting Saints will have a little bit of something for everyone. On the ice, the Fighting Saints host the Muskegon Lumberjacks at 7:35 p.m. as they look to keep their perfect home record intact. The evening is also Flight Night, presented by the Quad City International Airport, and one lucky fan will walk away with a $500 travel certificate to Punta Gorda, FL, the newest non-stop destination from Allegiant Airlines out of the Quad City International Airport. To top it off, Friday is also College Night, and features a special deal for students.
Also, with Halloween on Thursday, the Fighting Saints are giving fans a chance to wear that costume one last time Friday night. Prior to the game, fans can participate in a Halloween Costume Parade and show off their costume to the crowd. The parade is a favorite of children as they can Trick-or-Treat with Bernie. The Fighting Saints staff will also be looking for the best costumes in the crowd throughout the evening.
The evening full of fun will be themed around flight, airplanes, and airports. The night will feature trivia about different aspects of airports, and on-ice intermission contests centered on flight. The evening will see the Dubuque Fighting Saints coaching staff change titles, as Head Coach Matt Shaw will be known as Captain, while assistant coaches Oliver David and Mike Field will be his co-pilots. Ushers, better known as stewardesses for Flight Night, will make sure to demonstrate the proper safety procedures, and help direct fans to their seats. Music will include hits such as, "Fly Like an Eagle," "Jet Airliner," and "I Believe I Can Fly."

Fans could sign-up to participate in the on-ice promotion, and each night two lucky contestants were selected to participate. The winner of the nightly Race to the Gate competition qualified to win a $500 travel certificate to Punta Gorda from Allegiant Airlines that will be awarded at Flight Night this Friday.
