The Buccaneers are in the midst of a stretch where they are playing eight of nine games on the road dating back to Oct. 11. So far, Des Moines is 3-2-1, earning seven out of 12 possible points, during this period
Uchyn Returns
Second-year forward Roman Uchyn is expected to make his season debut this weekend after being sidelined with an upper-body injury. The Elgin, IL native joined the Buccaneers in December of last season after starting the season with Corpus Christi of the North American Hockey League and went on to finish with 12pts (4g, 8a) and 83 PIM in 35 games.
Interestingly, Uchyn made his USHL debut last season at Green Bay

Versus the East
The Buccaneers are 2-1 versus the Eastern Conference. Last season, Des Moines was 9-11-2 against the East.
Shorty!
