St. Paul Saints News Release

ST. PAUL, MN (July 9, 2009) - begrüßen Sie nach Hause! After seven days on the road, the St. Paul Saints are back home this weekend to take on the Sioux City Explorers in a three-game series at Midway Stadium.

Grab your euros and get ready for some tasty Bratwursts with sauerkraut on German Night Friday, July 10 at 7:05 p.m. Men can come dressed in their finest Lederhosen while the women wear their most beautiful dirndl's and everyone can brush up for Metro Dentalcare Friday. Be sure to take part in a little Octoberfest Celebration in July. Midway Stadium has often been thought to have other "residents" at the ballpark and The League of Ghost Searchers of White Bear Lake will be in attendance to see if there is any paranormal activity.

On Saturday, July 11 at 7:05 p.m. we take you back to your childhood with a 50th anniversary celebration of wiffle ball. The first 2,500 fans in attendance receive a wiffle bat and ball set. Prior to the game we'll find out who has the strength to go deep with a wiffle ball home run derby on an Applebee's Saturday with the Saints.

The homestand concludes on Sunday, July 12 at 1:05 p.m. that the kid in all of us can enjoy as we play with the Toys of Minnesota presented by 1919 Root Beer. Sample 1919 Root Beer before the game, and pick your favorite toy or game either developed or made in Minnesota. As kids we played with a barrel of monkey's and locked them arm-in-arm to make a chain; on this day the Saints will do the same with fans during the ballgame. If that's not enough for the kids, following the game they can run the bases and get autographs from the entire team on a Bath Fitter and Kitchen Solvers Family Sunday.

Tickets are still available for the all three games by stopping by the Saints ticket office, calling 651-644-6659 or visiting saintsbaseball.com.
