Lincoln 3B Brandon Jones had a huge game offensively to lead the Saltdogs to a 14-8 win on the road. Jones was 3-for-4 with a double, a pair of home runs, three runs scored and five RBI. Saltdogs 2B Shea McFeely also had a great game, going 4-for-5 with a home run, a double, two runs scored and four RBI. Saltdogs reliever Tim Brown did not allow a run in 3 1/3 innings to earn the win, his first of the season.

St. Paul 7, Wichita 5

The St. Paul Saints got a big game at the plate from 1B Jason Cooper to help them to a 7-5 win against Wichita. Cooper was 4-for-5 at the plate with a double, a home run and four RBI. Saints reliever Mike Bille picked up his first win of the season despite allowing three runs, two earned, on four hits in two innings of work. St. Paul starting pitcher Mitch Wylie pitched well, allowing two runs on seven hits in six innings of work, but did not factor in the decision.

El Paso 7, Pensacola 5

The El Paso Diablos got a big night at the plate from DH Jorge Alvarez to lead them to a 7-5 win against Pensacola on the road. Alvarez was 2-for-4 at the plate with a double and three RBI. Diablos starting pitcher Nick Martin pitched well, but did not factor in the decision. Martin allowed two unearned runs on five hits while striking out three in five innings of work. El Paso reliever Ricardo Rivas was credited with the win after allowing three unearned runs on two hits in three innings to work. With the victory, Rivas improved to 2-0 on the season. 2B Antoin Gray was 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI to lead Pensacola in the losing effort.

Fort Worth 8, Sioux Falls 6

The Fort Worth Cats entered the ninth inning trailing by a score of 6-5, but rallied for three runs to earn an 8-6 win. Cats C Kelley Gulledge led the way at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a double, a run scored and three RBI. Fort Worth RF Ryan Patterson also had a good game, going 3-for-5 with two doubles and two runs scored. Cats reliever Taylor Parker picked up his second win thanks to a scoreless eighth inning. Fort Worth reliever Gary Lee notched his first save with a 1-2-3 ninth.
