Safeway Breast Cancer Night & Jersey Auction Details Announced

Kamloops, BC - The Kamloops Blazers are once again raising money and awareness for the fight against Breast Cancer.
The Blazers, together with Kamloops Safeway and members of the Kamloops CIBC Run for the Cure organization, are raising money that will be donated to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
Safeway Breast Cancer Night will be held on Friday, October 24th.
Each player currently on the Blazers roster has a specially designed Breast Cancer Night jersey which will be worn during the Safeway Breast Cancer Night game on October 24th.
These jerseys are up for auction beginning October 1st. All proceeds will go to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
Every jersey will be up for auction via a Blind Ballot Auction which ends during the Blazers game on October 24th. Bidders will place a bid towards the jersey of the player of their choice.
All bids will be submitted into a ballot box which will be sealed until bidding has closed. The highest bid submitted will be the one who has purchased that particular jersey for the bid amount submitted.
Please only submit a bid if you are prepared to pay this amount for the jersey should yours be the highest bid following the closing of bidding.
Breast Cancer Jersey Auction Details:
- Bidding closes: Friday, October 24th @ 8pm PST
- Minimum bids for each jersey are $200
- All bids will be kept sealed in the ballot boxes until bidding closes
- Only one bid per person per jersey is needed unless you have decided you would like to make a higher bid. In the case of multiple bids by the same person on the same jersey, the highest bid will be taken
- Bidders can bid on more than one jersey if they wish using separate ballots
- The highest bidder for each jersey will be contacted by a member of the Blazers staff via telephone or email
- Should the highest bid fall through, the 2nd highest bidder will be contacted, and so on
- Any bid that lacks required information will be discarded
- Should 2 or more people tie for the highest bid, bidding will increase within tied bidders by $50 increments until only 1 bidder remains
- In the event of a player transaction that takes place between October 1st and October 24th, bidders will be contacted regarding to decide how to proceed
Bids can be placed in 2 ways:
A ballot box is set up on the east end of the ISC concourse during Blazers home games October 1st-24th. Bid sheets will be available to fill out and be placed into the box.
Email bidding is available until 8pm PST on Friday, October 24th

- Player of Jersey that bidder wishes to bid on
