RHP Kyle Sadlowski has been activated from the Disabled List and will be available for Thursday night's game against Great Lakes, the Swing of the Quad Cities announced on Thursday. In a corresponding move, RHP Matt Lane has been released by the St. Louis Cardinals.

Sadlowski, 22, has been on the DL with a strained oblique muscle since April 16. The Pennsylvania-native had yet to allow a run during his first three outings of the year, fanning four and giving up just one hit through 2.2 innings. In 2006, Sadlowski went 4-3 with a 4.86 ERA in 18 appearances (13 starts) for the Swing.

Lane, a 22-year-old native of Cologne, Minnesota, did not allow a run through his first six outings before allowing four runs on Saturday without retiring a batter. On the season, Lane was 2-0 with a 4.50 ERA over seven appearances.

The Swing of the Quad Cities roster currently stands at 25 active players, the maximum allowed by the Midwest League. An updated roster accompanies this release.
