Sacramento to host Fresno Grizzlies in Highway 99 Rivalry Series

BIRDZERK!: Friday, the River Cats will welcome BirdZerk! to Raley Field. A traveling entertainer on the minor league circuit, BirdZerk! will use his comedy sketches and zany antics to excite the crowd.

SUTTER HEALTH FIREWORKS/TECATE FIESTA SATURDAY: After the River Cats play the Fresno Grizzlies Saturday night, the team will light the skies with fireworks, courtesy of Sutter Health. Also, it will be a Tecate Fiesta Saturday at Raley Field. Fans in attendance will have the opportunity to enjoy Latin music, dancers and decorations. A Latin band, "Barrio Humilde," will perform on the Foul Ball Patio from 6-7 pm.

RIVER CATS ON FOX SPORTS NET: Saturday's game between Sacramento and Fresno will be televised live on Fox Sports Net (Bay Area). Tim Roye will call all the balls and strikes, and former major leaguer Lloyd Moseby will serve as the color analyst. This will be the first of two River Cats games televised this season.

FRAZEE PAINT RALLY TOWELS: The first 6,000 fans at Sunday's game will receive Frazee Paint Rally Towels, courtesy of Frazee Paint.

US BANK KIDS' DAY: Every Sunday at Raley Field is a US Bank Kids' Day. All kids in attendance will have the opportunity to enjoy a petting zoo, face painters, balloon artists and the Radio Disney Extreme Team. Additionally, all kids will get a chance to run the bases after the game.

MEMORIAL DAY TRIBUTE: The River Cats will host a Memorial Day Tribute on Monday at Raley Field. Pregame festivities honoring troops, past and present, will begin around 12:35 pm.

Strong In May...The Cats are 15-5 thus far in May (.280 AVG, 3.14 ERA) with 10 games remaining in the month. The club record for wins in May is 17 (17-13 in May 2000). The Cats won a team-record 15 games (15-11) in April of this season.

On The Road Again...The Cats will play their 27th road game of the season today. They are 17-9 on the road, batting .265 with 32 HR and 121 RBI in 856 AB. Sacramento went 7-1 on its last roadtrip (Memphis, Nashville). The Cats have a 3.36 ERA on the road (4.13 ERA at home).

Bombs Away (Leading Minors)...The River Cats hit no home runs yesterday, holding their season total at 57 HR (46 games), best in the PCL and all of Minor League Baseball. Sacramento has homered in 16 of its last 20 games (34 of 46 games). Best Start...The Cats are off to a 30-16 start, the team's best-ever record after 46 games. (second best start: 26-20 after 46 games during the 2000 season).

Today's Starting Pitcher...RHP Frank Castillo (0-3, 5.70) today will make his seventh start and 10th appearance of the season. He lost his last start, allowing 3 R (3 ER) on 4 H in 5.0 IP on May 17 at Portland. Today marks Castillo's 380th start in professional baseball.
