Sacramento River Cats News Release
WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- The Sacramento River Cats today announced that they will broadcast two games regionally on Fox Sports Net during the 2003 season.
This marks the third season in which the team will broadcast games on Fox Sports Net. Tim Roye will return for his fourth season as the River Cats' television play-by-play broadcaster. The color commentator for the televised games will be former major leaguer Lloyd Moseby, a Sacramento resident who played 12 seasons of Major League Baseball with the Toronto Blue Jays (1980-89) and Detroit Tigers (1990-91). The 2003 season will be his second with the River Cats.
"We are fortunate to have the opportunity to broadcast our games on Fox Sports Net," said River Cats President & Chief Operating Officer Alan Ledford. "This season's broadcasts will feature the same professional quality as games we have done in the past, and these televised games will allow fans from all over the region to see the top prospects from both the A's and Giants organizations. Additionally, it's an opportunity to showcase Raley Field and Sacramento to a regional audience."
The following home games will be televised in 2003:
Date Time Opponent Station
May 24 7:05 p.m. Fresno Grizzlies Fox Sports Net
July 19 7:05 p.m. Fresno Grizzlies Fox Sports Net
