Ryan Faragher Named ECHL Goaltender of Week

West Valley City, Utah - Ryan Faragher of the Utah Grizzlies is the CCM ECHL Goaltender of the Week for Jan. 12-18 as the Grizzlies went 3-0-1-0 through four games in five nights in Boise and Bakersfield.

Faragher was 3-0-1-0 as well with a 2.17 goals-against average and a save percentage of .931 in four appearances last week. In addition, he made a career high 42 saves in Monday's 3-2 shootout loss to Ontario before 6,383 fans at Maverik Center.

The 24-year-old made 29 saves in a 4-3 overtime loss at Idaho on Tuesday, stopped 24 shots and all five in the shootout in a 2-1 win against the Steelheads on Wednesday, had then a season-high 36 saves in a 5-2 victory at Bakersfield on Friday and turned aside 32 shots in a 3-2 victory over the Condors on Saturday.

A native of Fort Frances, Ontario, Faragher is 10-6-2-1 with a 2.61 goals-against-average and a .911 save percentage on the season. He has been called up to the Anaheim Ducks AHL affiliate in Norfolk twice and made two starts.

Under an National Hockey League contract with the Ducks, Faragher played the last three seasons at St. Cloud State University, appearing in 98 games with an overall record of 53-34-8 with five shutouts, a 2.58 goals-against average and a save percentage of .911.

Friday, January 23: The Grizzlies open a 2-game series when the Bakersfield Condors make their first trip to Utah since last year's playoffs.

Saturday, January 24: Guns N Hoses Night. The Grizzlies will be wearing themed jerseys that will be auctioned off live after the game.
