Florida's Kushneriuk Named Sher-Wood Hockey ECHL Player of the Week

ORLANDO, Fla. - Florida Everblades' forward Chris Kushneriuk is the Sher-Wood Hockey ECHL Player of the Week for Jan. 12-18.
Kushneriuk scored five goals and added one assist for six points in three games last week.
The 28-year-old had a hat trick and added an assist in a 6-5 shootout loss to Tulsa on Wednesday, scored a goal in a 4-2 victory against Tulsa on Friday and scored once in a 7-2 loss to Gwinnett on Saturday.
A native of Ottawa, Kushneriuk has 21 points (9g-12a) in 26 games with the Everblades this season. He has 48 points (20g-28a) 91 career ECHL games with Florida, Las Vegas, Bakersfield and Wheeling.
Prior to turning pro, Kushneriuk tallied 68 points (22g-46a) in 95 career collegiate games with Robert Morris University.
On behalf of Chris Kushneriuk, a case of pucks will be donated to a Florida youth hockey organization by Sher-Wood Hockey, the exclusive puck supplier of the ECHL. Since beginning its sponsorship of the award in 2000-01, Sher-Wood Hockey has donated more than 31,000 pucks to youth hockey organizations in ECHL cities.
