Aces Unveil Jersey, Final Details for Superhero Weekend

ANCHORAGE, Alaska - The Alaska Aces are scheduled to host "Superhero Weekend" at Sullivan Arena this Friday and Saturday, Jan. 23-24 (7:15 p.m.) for two games in conjunction with an unveiled specialty jersey, while inviting fans of all ages to participate in a variety of family friendly events associated with the themed weekend.
Select characters, in relation to traditional "comic book style" superheroes will roam Sullivan Arena for photo opportunities with children and families throughout both games. The Aces will also wear a specialty "superhero theme" jersey both nights, available for bidding in a live auction immediately after Saturday's game to all fans in attendance.
The superhero jersey, designed by the Aces promotions department, features a "Superman" inspired look in a crisp, white base with blue trim and red cape highlighted at the jersey collar. A modified "superhero" Aces logo adorns the front with a signature "AK" belt buckle motif along the front base of the jersey.
Aces fans, families and children are encouraged to dress in costume for the game. On both nights, all fans arriving in costume will receive a free GCI Video on Demand pass.
Additionally, a costume contest will be hosted during the first intermission of both games and the winner, selected in a live vote by the fans, will win a grand prize package which includes a free helicopter "Flightseeing" tour ride from Era Helicopters and $99 gift card redeemable at local Great Clips locations.

Follwing Superhero Weekend, the Aces will suit up again on Sunday for another Fred Meyer Skate with the Aces event, at 3:05 p.m. against Idaho offering all fans in attendance an opportunity to skate on the ice of Sullivan Arena with all Aces players for autograph and photo opportunities. Special discount tickets, available for $10 apiece at the Aces Store (15th & Gambell), are available to fans who present their Fred Meyer Rewards Card.
