Niagara IceDogs News Release
Niagara, ON - Niagara IceDogs General Manager Joey Burke has announced that Ryan Campbell has committed to the team, signing an Ontario Hockey League Standard Player Agreement. Campbell was a 6th round pick (116th overall) in the 2017 OHL Priority Selection.
The 18 year old centre from Plattsville, Ontario, played the 2018-19 season with the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League's Kitchener Dutchmen. In 41 games, he collected 16 points (9 goals, 7 assists). He missed the entirety of the 2017-18 season due to injury. Despite facing challenges, General Manager Burke believes he has gotten better every year and he is confident that trend will continue in Niagara.
"Ryan is a great story, he has battled through injuries and adversity to get to where he is today." said Burke. "This is a guy who is as smart as they come. He is going to fit in great with our group."
"Thank you Niagara for believing in me." said Campbell. "After a challenging few seasons, I'm very grateful to officially be a part of such a great organization. I'm excited to get to work!"
Fans can expect Ryan to dress for the IceDogs during pre-season.
