RUSH STORYLINES & UPCOMING OPPONENTS:
* Mudbugs Honored - Before Saturday's contest, a total of five former Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs received recognition for their 2010-11 Presidents' Cup Championship run. Rapid City's Shawn Limpright, Jeff Kyrzakos and Michael Couch along with Fort Wayne's Brett Smith and Jamie Milam all had their championship rings presented to them in a pregame ceremony. All five played on last season's Bossier-Shreveport squad that topped the Colorado Eagles 2-1 in Game #7 of the Ray Miron Presidents' Cup Finals. Kyrzakos earned the distinction of CHL Playoff MVP for his efforts.
* Finishing Strong - Through nine games, the Rush have gotten off to slow starts, but have more than made up for it late in games. Rapid City has been outscored 23-24 through periods one and two, but holds a 12-8 goal advantage in the third period and overtime.
* Good to be Home - The Rush recently concluded a four-game road trip the saw the team travel over 2,800 miles and spend over 50 hours visiting Fort Wayne, Bloomington, Tulsa and Wichita. The Rush will now enjoy the confines of the RPCC for nine of their next 12 contests.
