
Laredo Bucks to "Pack the House for Stars"

Laredo, TX - November 15, 2011 -Border Media, LNF Distributors and South Texas Academic Scholars (STARS) have coordinated a special game with the Laredo Bucks in which Laredo fans will not only enjoy the suspense of a game between the Bucks and the Killer Bees but will be raising funds for South Texas students in their pursuit of higher education.
"We want to make sure people come out and purchase tickets to "Pack the House for STARS" on December the 9th, when the Laredo Bucks will go against longtime rivals, the Rio Grande Killer Bees and where a 100% of ticket sale proceeds will benefit STARS," stated Ana Rivera-Soto, General Sales Manager at Border Media Laredo. The Laredo Bucks in collaboration with Border Media and L&F Distributors believe Laredo hockey fans will look forward to this thrilling game where the Bucks will go against former head coach Terry Ruskowski.
"Pack the House for STARS" will raise funds for improved higher education accessible to the students of South Texas. STARS, a student scholarship fund of South Texas, is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to providing successful futures for local students by assisting them in obtaining a higher education at the college or university of their choice. STARS was established to offer South Texas students equal opportunity for advancement in higher education. Scholarships provide deserving students the ability to achieve success at the college of their choice.
Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. on day of game. Pre-sale tickets are $10 and best seats will be sold on a first come first serve basis. That means the earlier you buy your tickets the better your seats will be at the most exciting battle of South Texas. Tickets will be available on game day for $15 after 1 p.m. Tickets are only available at Laredo Energy Arena Box Office.
