RUSH STORYLINES & UPCOMING OPPONENTS:
- Couch's Big Night - In Saturday's 4-2 win over the Bloomington Blaze, defenseman Michael Couch had a career game. The Halifax, Nova Scotia native picked up a pair of goals for his first professional multi-goal game and game-winning goal of his career. Couch now leads all Rush defenseman in with two goals and is also tied for 2nd among league defenseman with five points.
- Early Leaders - Heading into the fourth week of the season, the Rush have a handful of players among the league leaders. Jesse Schultz is tied for 5th with nine points and is third in assists with seven. Anthony Perdicaro's three goals are good enough for 2nd in rookie scoring while leading all rookies and 2nd overall with 41 penalty minutes. With three powerplay goals, Jeff Kyrzakos is tied with Bloomington's Brodie Sheahan for the league lead in that category.
- Hot Start - Rapid City's 4-1-1 record (9 pts.) heading into tonight's contest is the best start that the Rush franchise has had in four-year history. In the past two seasons, including the 2009-10 championship year, the Rush were an identical 3-3-0 through six games. The Rush totaled the same amount of points during the inaugural campaign of 2008-09 where the squad started the year 1-1-4.
