TODAY: The Binghamton Rumble Ponies and the Portland Sea Dogs conclude their five-game series. The Ponies have won three of the first four games.

LAST TIME OUT: The Rumble Ponies fell to the Sea Dogs 7-3 Saturday night. That snapped Binghamton's five-game winning streak. The Sea Dogs scored one run in each of the first and second innings and then plated three in the third to take a 5-1 lead. C.J. Chatham drove in three runs and went 3-5 with a pair of doubles. Brett Netzer tallied two RBI. RHP Mickey Jannis (5-2) suffered the loss as he allowed five runs on 11 hits with three strikeouts in six innings.

LEE'S FOUR-HIT GAME: Braxton Lee tallied four hits Saturday night. It was his first four-hit game of 2019. He went 4-5 with a run scored.

KRIZAN'S TWO-RUN HOMER: With his two-run home run in the ninth inning Saturday night, Jason Krizan now has 39 RBI on the season, which ranks third on the team, behind Patrick Mazeika (48) and Barrett Barnes (45). It was Krizan's seventh homer

SHUTDOWN BULLPEN: After allowing two runs on Saturday, the Rumble Ponies bullpen has now allowed just three runs in 28 innings of work over the last eight games. Ponies relievers have struck out 33 and allowed 14 hits and seven walks over that stretch.

FIVE-GAME WIN STREAK SNAPPED: The Rumble Ponies saw their five-game winning streak snapped Saturday night. It was tied for their longest win streak of the season. They also won five straight from April 18-23.

SPREAD THE WEALTH: Seven of the nine players in the Binghamton lineup Saturday night recorded hits. The Ponies recorded 11 hits. Lee led the way with four hits, and Krizan had two, including his two-run homer in the ninth.

CHATHAM LEADS EL IN BATTING AVERAGE: C.J. Chatham leads the Eastern League with a .312 batting average. He went 3-5 Saturday night with three RBI and two doubles. He is one of two players in the league hitting over .300, along with Bowie's Mason McCoy, who is hitting .309.

RBI LEADERS: Patrick Mazeika is tied with Portland's Bobby Dalbec for third in the Eastern League with 48 RBI. They are eight behind Darick Hall from Reading. Dalbec leads the EL with 19 homers.

COMING UP: The Rumble Ponies return to Binghamton for a three-game series with the Reading Fightin Phils, which begins Monday at 6:35 PM at NYSEG Stadium. That is their only series at home over a two-week stretch, which includes the all-star break and trips to Portland, Akron and Reading.
