(AKRON, OHIO) July 2, 2014 - The Akron RubberDucks announced today that tickets are limited for the Independence Day Celebration, including a post-game Fourth of July fireworks show.

The tickets will be made available immediately.

The Akron RubberDucks and the City of Akron are teaming up to host Independence Day fireworks. The fireworks will follow a 6:35 p.m. game against the Bowie Baysox. Gates will open at 5 p.m.

"We are excited about our partnership with the City of Akron and we are happy to be able to offer an experience that fans are so enthusiastic about," Akron RubberDucks General Manager Jim Pfander said. "We hope to make this an annual tradition for the city of Akron."

The fireworks show, presented by FirstEnergy, will run for 15 minutes, the longest show on Independence Day in Akron in more than five years.

Tickets are still available for the remainder of the weekend series, including Saturday's game against the Bowie Baysox at 7:05 p.m. There will be post-game fireworks set to music by Akron natives The Black Keys, a performance by the ZOOperstars!, and the first 1,000 fans through the gate will receive a free bobblehead of The Black Keys.
