
Royals/WFMZ Announce TV Schedule

Reading Royals News Release
(READING, PA) The Reading Royals and WFMZ have agreed on the six telecast dates of Royals hockey on Channel 69. Beginning the third year of a five year agreement, WFMZ in cooperation with NCP Video will telecast the following six games:

Royals director of broadcasting/media sales John Curtis will handle the play-by-play duties. This season Curtis will be joined in the booth by WFMZ sports anchor, Tom Leyden, who will provide the color commentary and WFMZ's sports anchor, Tim McMaster, who will handle the sideline reporting. Substituting for Curtis on the Royals radio network during television games will be University of Delaware graduate Joe O'Donnell.
"I think our goal coming into our third season with WFMZ is to improve the consistency of our telecast and broadcast," Curtis stated. "With Tom, Tim and myself handling the TV duties that should improve our telecast quality and adding Joe to handle the radio broadcasts strengthens our team."
Power Play 6-Pack Unveiled
6 Weekend Dates...6 Different Opponents
The Reading Royals announced today that they are offering a "Power Play 6-Pack" for the 2003-04 season. The mini-pack includes six weekend dates, including opening night. The cost of the "Power Play 6-Pack" is just $60. The following dates encompass the "Power Play 6-Pack": Saturday, October 18 vs. expansion Texas Wildcatters (Opening Night), Friday October 31 vs. Wheeling Nailers (Halloween Night), Friday, November 14 vs. Toledo Storm (Brahbam Cup Champs), Saturday, November 22 vs. expansion Las Vegas Wranglers, Saturday, December 6 vs. Roanoke Express and Friday, December 19 vs. Cincinnati Cyclones (2002-03 Northern Conference Finalists). The Royals face off their third season on Friday, October 17 in Trenton, New Jersey against the Titans. The Royals home opener is slated for Saturday, October 18 versus the expansion Texas Wildcatters.
