SpongeBob, $5 tickets highlight Cox Media Kids Sunday Spectacular Series

Lafayette, LA â The Louisiana IceGators and Cox Media have partnered up to present the "Cox Media Kids Sunday Spectacular Series", which will be highlighted by a visit from SpongeBob SquarePants on February 29. Arnold from Hey Arnold (November 23), Jimmy Neutron (December 7) and Chuckie from Rugrats (January 25) will all be appearing at IceGators' games. Kids (ages 2-12) tickets for each game in the series will be just $5, nearly 45 percent off the normal price.
"We are very happy to partner with Cox Media for this series," said IceGators general manager Brian Kelley. "We are family-friendly entertainment, and there is no better way to showcase that than with this series. We expect huge crowds for the games, and we would also like to thank Cox Media for making it possible to offer $5 tickets to all children. Hockey is very entertaining for adults, but this is the ultimate way to reach the younger demographic as well."

Louisiana opens its ninth ECHL season at Mississippi on Friday, Oct. 17, at 7:35 p.m., before the Sea Wolves make a return trip for the IceGators' home opener Saturday, Oct. 18 at 7:05 p.m. Individual tickets, starting at just $10 for adults and $9 for kids (ages 2-12 in any level) are now on sale at the Cajundome Box Office and Ticketmaster outlets. Opening Night will feature a Chris Valicevic jersey retirement ceremony. Full season ticket packages, half season plans and Ice Packs are also on sale now and can be purchased by calling (337) 234-4423. Full season packages start at just $288, while children ages 4-12 can have season tickets for only $225 in any level, including rink side, with an adult purchase.
