
US Airways Re-Ups with ECHL

PRINCETON, N.J. â The ECHL announced on Tuesday that its marketing partnership with US Airways has been extended through the 2003-04 season.
US Airways will receive league-wide exposure as the "Official Airline of the ECHL" through in-arena signage, promotional materials, on the official ECHL web site, and in printed materials in all ECHL markets.
"US Airways continues to live up to its reputation of excellence while providing the ECHL with quality service," said Glen Thornborough, ECHL Vice President of Sales/Marketing.
From the company's beginnings in 1939 as All-American Aviation, Inc., US Airways has been an aviation innovator and is pleased to renew its partnership as the "Official Airline of the ECHL." With almost 301 aircraft, US Airways, Inc. operates more than 3,701 flights daily, carrying an average of more than 120,000 passengers.
The ECHL welcomes nine new markets for 2003-04, including six from the former West Coast Hockey League, with the addition of the Alaska Aces, the Bakersfield Condors, the Fresno Falcons, the Gwinnett (Georgia) Gladiators, the Idaho (Boise) Steelheads, the Las Vegas Wranglers, the Long Beach Ice Dogs, the San Diego Gulls, and the Texas (Beaumont) Wildcatters.
