Kamloops, BC - The Victoria Royals scored the game's opening two goals, 23 seconds apart in the first period, and received a two point performance from D-Jay Jerome (1g-1a) to down the Kamloops Blazers 4-2 on Saturday night.

Youth Will Be Served: Both teams took the opportunity to give their younger players some game time as they each dressed 14 rookies.
Leading the Way: After their first two pre-season games, the Royals are led offensively by rookie import centre Phillip Schultz (3g-1a) and veteran forward D-Jay Jerome (2g-2a) with four points each.
Scratches: Victoria sat out 20-year-olds Dante Hannoun, Ralph Jarratt, and Griffen Outhouse along with veterans Mitchell Prowse, Dino Kambeitz, Dean McNabb, Tarun Fizer and rookies Brock Gould.
NHL Camps: Victoria forwards Matthew Phillips (Calgary Flames), Tanner Kaspick (St. Louis Blues) and Lane Zablocki (Detroit Red Wings), along with defenceman Scott Walford (Montreal Canadiens) have all been left off of the team's pre-season roster as they are attending NHL training camps.
Next Up: The Royals will wrap up their pre-season next weekend with three games in three days at the Vancouver Giants' Pre-Season Tournament in Langley, BC.
