
Tigers Take Ther Second Preseason Game 6-3

Taber, AB - The Medicine Hat Tigers defeated the Lethbridge Hurricanes 6-3 in their second meeting of WHL Preseason Action.
After falling 5-4 in overtime the night before, the Tabbies hosted the Canes in the Taber Community Centre and treated the fans to an exciting evening.
Jaxon Steele opened the game with a pair of goals giving the Orange and Black a 2-0 heading to the dressing room after 20 minutes of play. Jalen Price assisted both goals.
The second frame saw the Highway 3 rivals exchange goals. Dawson Heathcote and Corson Hopwo set up Baxter Anderson to score on the power play giving the Tigers a 3-0 lead early in the period.
Noah Boyko scored the Hurricanes' first goal of the game on a play from Tyler Lowe.
Tempers flared near the end of the second stanza as both teams exchange penalties which set the stage for a rowdy third period.
Cole Sillinger scored on the power play early in the final frame to give the Tigers a 4-1 lead. Josh Williams and Henrik Rybinski combined on the play.
The Hurricanes continued to battle on and Koletrane Willson set up Ty Prefontaine with less than 10 minutes left to play.
On yet another power play, Cole Clayton combined with Rybinski to set up Williams to light the lamp.
Hurricanes Taylor Ross cut the lead to 2 late in the game before Sillinger struck to score his second goal of the night. Williams and Daniel Baker assisted on the play.
Garin Bjorklund turned aside 29 of the Hurricanes' 32 shots. Hurricanes Akira Schmid made 27 saves on 33 shots.
The Orange and Black will travel to Moose Jaw on Friday to face the Warriors before hosting them Saturday in Irvine.
