Victoria, BC - The Victoria Royals earned a 2-1 victory over the BC Division leading Kamloops Blazers as goaltender Shane Farkas was named the game's first star.

First as a Royal: Victoria defenceman Will Warm scored his first goal as a member of the team in tonight's game. The 20-year-old defender was acquired in the off-season from the Edmonton Oil Kings.
1000 GAMES: Tonight, Royals Head Equipment Manager Matt Auerbach is worked his 1,000th career regular season game in the WHL. Auerbach has been part of the Victoria/Chilliwack franchise since its inception in 2006. Prior to his time with the Royals/Bruins, Auerbach spent one season with the Regina Pats as their equipment manager.
