Last time they met: the Blades broke their playoff series victory drought in Moose Jaw on March 27th, 2019, with a 4-3 overtime victory which completed the sweep over the Warriors. Tristen Robins had a goal while made Nolan Maier 23 saves and was named 3rd Star of the game.
What it means for Saskatoon: The Blades have now won three games in a row at home and a fourth would be a nice touch before hitting the road again next weekend - the Blades won't play at home again until November 8th.
The stat: 6. The Warriors are on a six game losing streak currently (0-5-1-0) and will be hungry for a win. Saskatoon will need to be on guard and not become complacent against a Moose Jaw team that had a strong opening to the season prior to their current streak.
The match-up: Tim Hunter vs Mitch Love - there was no love lost between the two head coaches when these clubs met in the playoffs last season. There's a lot of character behind the benches tonight and it may prove to be an interesting occasion.
It's a big night for: Kjell Kjemhus - 'The Moose' was traded to Saskatoon from Moose Jaw back on September 16th and has quickly become a bit of a cult figure for the Blades with his fantastic work ethic and energy on the ice. Tonight will be the first time he faces his old friends since the trade.
Blades Fight Cancer Night: Hit the ice with the Blades players after the game to paint the names of the loved ones you're fighting for!
There is no post game skate today.
