Saskatoon, SK - A back and forth game saw the Saskatoon Blades lose in overtime at home on Sunday afternoon to the visiting Moose Jaw Warriors. The point earned in overtime means Saskatoon has taken at least a point in every home game they played for the month of October dating back to a shootout loss against Brandon on October 6th.

Chase Wouters (2G-0A) had another strong performance for the Blades, bringing his season total to 10 and is now tied for the league lead in goals. Riley McKay (2G-1A) extended his point streak to 8 games while Libor Zabransky (0G-2A) registered his first multi-point game for the Blades.

Moose Jaw opened the scoring but the Blades were quick to respond as Wouters took a loose puck from Colton Dach right off the bench, gained the Warriors end and riffled a shot top corner to tie the game. Moose Jaw got the games' next 2 goals, both on the power play, and led 3-1 early in the second period.

The Blades responded once again as Wouters got his second goal on the game on a rebound from a Zabransky shot. Saskatoon then quickly tied the game with just over 8 minutes to go in the second period as Kjell Kjemhus chipped the puck to McKay up the right wing. McKay then kept the puck on a two on one, besting the Warrior's goaltender five-hole to tie the game. Kjemhus' assist was his first point as a Blade. The Blades outshot the Warriors 12-2 in the second period.

Saskatoon took the lead just over 5 minutes into the third period as Scott Walford sprung McKay for a breakaway where McKay deked to the forehand and beat the netminder five-hole once again.

Moose Jaw tied the game with 4:29 left in regulation and capitalized on the Blades' missed on a two on one opportunity in overtime with a two on one counterattack of their own.

The Blades will next play on Friday, November 1st, as they hit the road once again to visit the Edmonton Oil Kings.
