
Royals to Face Giants in Second Round of WHL Playoffs

Victoria, BC - The Victoria Royals will meet their coastal rival, the Vancouver Giants, in the second round of the 2019 WHL Playoffs in a best-of-seven series that begins on Friday and Saturday In Langley, BC.
Victoria will host Game 3 and Game 4 at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre on Tuesday, April 9th and Thursday, April 11th respectively.
Single game tickets for Round 2, starting at $22, will go on sale to the general public at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning at the Select Your Tickets Box Office and online at www.selectyourticket.com. Royals' Full, Half, and Fan Pack Holders will receive a special one day Round 2 pre-buy opportunity tomorrow for Game 3 and Game 4. Tickets are available over the phone at 250-220-7777, or in-person at the Select Your Tickets Box Office.
The Royals defeated the Kamloops Blazers 4-2 in the first round of the WHL Playoffs and are the second seed in the BC Division. The Giants meanwhile, finished as the top team in the Western Conference and BC Division and will have home ice advantage in the series as a result. Vancouver won their first round best-of-seven series vs. the Seattle Thunderbirds 4-2.

This series will mark the second time in the Royals' eight-year history that these two teams have met in the WHL Playoffs. Victoria defeated Vancouver in seven games in the first round of last year's playoffs.
