Royals Squeak Past Stingrays and Snap Winning Streak

Reading, PA - The South Carolina Stingrays (9-10-0-4) fell to the Reading Royals (10-8-1-1) 2-0 Sunday evening at Santander Arena, snapping a five game winning streak.

Royals forward David Marshall broke the scoreless tie 1:38 into the third period redirecting a shot from defenseman Michael Caruso between the legs of Stingrays netminder and former Royal Brandon Anderson (L, 22 saves on 24 shots). The Royals went up 2-0 at 6:30 when forward Adam Hughesman buried his eighth goal of the season off a rebound. The Stingrays finished the contest 0-for-3 on the power play while the Royals went 0-for-7.

The Stingrays return to the Coliseum to host the Cincinnati Cyclones on Tuesday, December 9 at 7:05 p.m. for 2x2 Tuesday!
