(Reading, PA) – Royals forward Brad Rooney and defenseman Ray DiLauro have been loaned to the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League. This will be a first time promotion for both players. Rooney led the Royals in scoring this season posting 26 goals and 52 points in 68 games. He also ranked first on the club in power play goals (10), shorthanded tallies (3), and first goals in the game (5). The 22-year-old native of St. Catherine's, Ontario was selected as the Rookie of the Year, Outstanding Offensive Player, and Most Valuable Player of the Royals. DiLauro, 26, recently joined the Royals after four years with St. Lawrence University. He appeared in three games with the Royals and netted two assists.

Royals head coach Al Sims said it is a great ending to the season for these players, "Brad Rooney really had a fantastic rookie season. He deserves to get a look at the higher level. We only saw Ray play in three games but he was solid on the power play and our most consistent defenseman."
