Langley, BC - Victoria Royals' forward D-Jay Jerome tallied a hat-trick and added a pair of assists as the club exploded for seven goals to defeat the Everett Silvertips 7-1 on Saturday afternoon.

Line-ups: The Royals once again went with a mixture of youth and experience in their line-up as they dressed 10 rookies and 10 veterans. Meanwhile the Silvertips went with six rookies and 12 veterans.
Scoring Leader: With five points in tonight's game forward D-jay Jerome now leads the WHL in pre-season scoring with nine points (5g-4a) in four games.
Perfect Debut: Royals' 20-year-old goaltender Griffen Outhouse played in his first pre-season game of the year and turned aside all 22 shots he faced in 40 minutes of action.
Scratches: Victoria sat out veterans Igor Martynov, Dino Kambeitz, Dean McNabb, Tarun Fizer and rookies Brock Gould and Nolan Bentham.
NHL Camps: Victoria forwards Matthew Phillips (Calgary Flames), Tanner Kaspick (St. Louis Blues) and Lane Zablocki (Detroit Red Wings), along with defenceman Scott Walford (Montreal Canadiens) have all been left off of the team's pre-season roster as they are attending NHL training camps.
