
Royals Ink Dino Kambeitz

Victoria, BC - The Victoria Royals are pleased to announce that they have signed 2000-born forward Dino Kambeitz (cam-BITES) to a Western Hockey League (WHL) Standard Player Agreement.
Kambeitz was selected by the Royals in the fifth round (90th overall) of the 2015 WHL Bantam Draft.
"Dino is a talented and dynamic young player," General Manager Cameron Hope said. "We are very pleased with his development so far, and happy to have him join our organization."
The Parker, CO native currently plays for the Calgary, AB based Edge School for Athletics Elite 15 team in the Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL). Through 45 games, Kambeitz has amassed 55 points (17g-38a) along with 98 minutes in penalties and sits second in team scoring.
During the 2014-15 campaign, Kambeitz played for the Rocky Mountain RoughRiders of the Colorado Amateur Hockey Association (CAHA). The 5-11, 172 lb winger played in 15 games and collected seven points (5g-2a) and 14 penalty minutes.
Dino is the son of Jim Kambeitz, who played in 93 games for the Victoria Cougars from 1985-87.
The Royals will now embark on a three-game Alberta road-trip starting in Calgary to face the Hitmen on Friday and Red Deer to take on the Rebels on Saturday. Puck drop for both contests are set for 6:00 p.m. PST. Victoria will then travel to Edmonton to battle the Oil Kings on Monday, February 29th with puck drop scheduled for 10:30 a.m. PST.
Victoria will return home on Saturday, March 5th to take on the Vancouver Giants with puck drop set for 7:05 p.m. Tickets can be purchased in person at the Select Your Tickets Box Office, over the phone by calling 250-220-7889 or by visiting www.selectyourtickets.com.
