Royals' Coleman Vollrath Named Vaughn CHL Goaltender of the Week

Victoria, BC- The Canadian Hockey League today announced that Victoria Royals' goaltender Coleman Vollrath has been named the Vaughn CHL Goaltender of the Week.

The 6-0, 174 lb netminder appeared in four games for the Royals this past week and registered a 3-1-0-0 record with a 1.00 goals against average (GAA), a 0.960 save percentage (SV%) and one shutout.

This marks the second time in his career that Vollrath has received this award. Vollrath was named Vaughn CHL Goaltender of the Week for the first time in March of last season.

A product of Calgary, AB, Vollrath, has played all eight games for Victoria this season and has collected a 7-1-0-0 record. He has also helped the Royals to allow the third fewest goals in the WHL so far this campaign.

Vollrath is in his fourth and final WHL season and has registered a mark of 59-36-4-4 to go along with eight shutouts, a 2.79 GAA, and a 0.910 SV% in 122 games played. The 1995-born goaltender is currently only one victory away from tying former Chilliwack Bruins goaltender Lucas Gore (60) for most franchise wins.

Victoria returns to the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre this Friday to take on the Red Deer Rebels on Country Night presented by the Duke Saloon. Puck drop is slated for 7:05 p.m.
