ICE CHIPS: The KOOTENAY ICE enter this week's action with a 1-7-0-0 record (1-2-0-0 at home, 0-5-0-0 on the road) and in sixth place in the CENTRAL DIVISION...KOOTENAY will play four of the next five games on home ice beginning with a matchup against the MOOSE JAW WARRIORS October 14.
2 FOR 1 TUESDAYS: KOOTENAY ICE 2 FOR 1 TUESDAYS are back!...At every Tuesday regular season home game, fans can enjoy 2 FOR 1 deals on walk-up tickets and select concession items from COYOTE JACK'S...The first 2 FOR 1 TUESDAY of the 2015-16 season is October 20 when the ICE host the REGINA PATS.
FLEX PAKS: FLEX PAKS are now available to purchase at the ICE Office...Available in Seven and new 36-Game booklets, FLEX PAKS offer total flexibility -- pick and choose the games you want to see this season all while saving on walk-up ticket prices...The first 100 FLEX PAKS purchased will include a two-for-one green fee voucher for WILDSTONE GOLF COURSE.

ROSTER UPDATE: Including long-term injuries, KOOTENAY is carrying 25 players (three goaltenders, ten defensemen and 12 forwards)...The ICE roster is made up of five 1995-born players, four 1996-born players, eight 1997-born players, seven 1998-born players, and one 1999-born player...KOOTENAY has eight first-year players on its roster.
DID YOU KNOW: Defenseman JASON WENZEL scored his first career WHL goal October 10 in MOOSE JAW...Forwards MAX PATTERSON and ROMAN DYMACEK both scored their first career WHL goals October 7 at SASKATOON...Forward SHANE ALLAN recorded his first career WHL point (assist) October 7 against the BLADES...Goaltender WYATT HOFLIN surpassed 6,000 career minutes played October 6 at PRINCE ALBERT...HOFLIN is the fifth goaltender in KOOTENAY ICE franchise history (NATHAN LIEUWEN, MACKENZIE SKAPSKI, JEFF GLASS, TAYLOR DAKERS) to play 6,000 or more minutes...Forward MATT ALFARO is two points shy of 50 career points...Former KOOTENAY Forward ADAM CRACKNELL scored his first goal as a member of the VANCOUVER CANUCKS October 12 at ANAHEIM...Former ICE Forward JARRET STOLL registered his first point (assist) as a member of the NEW YORK RANGERS October 10 versus COLUMBUS.
INJURIES: Defenseman TANNER LISHCHYNSKY will be out of the ICE lineup day-to-day with a lower body injury...Forward MAX PATTERSON will be out of the KOOTENAY lineup one week with an upper body injury...Defenseman CALE FLEURY will be out of the ICE lineup two to three weeks with an upper body injury...Forward JAEDON DESCHENEAU will be out of the KOOTENAY lineup indefinitely with an upper body injury...Defenseman TYLER KING will be out of the ICE lineup indefinitely with a lower body injury.
DRAFTED PLAYER: JAEDON DESCHENEAU - St. Louis Blues (5th Round, 2014 NHL Draft).
ONE YEAR AGO: After eight games of the 2014-15 season the ICE were 2-6-0-0, after nine games 3-6-0-0 and after ten games 3-7-0-0.
