Kelowna, BC - The Victoria Royals concluded their BC Division road trip with a 1-0 victory over the Kelowna Rockets as goaltender Shane Farkas stopped all 29 shots he faced.

BC Division: With the win tonight, Victoria moved back into second place in the BC Division. The Royals are now five points behind the division leading Kamloops Blazers with one game in hand. The club is also one point ahead of the Kelowna Rockets with two games in hand.
One Goal Games: In games decided by just one goal, Victoria is now 11-4-2-0. This includes a 3-1-0-0 record in one goal games versus the Rockets.
Fantastic Farkas: Royals' goaltender Shane Farkas registered his second shutout of the season in tonight's game. In his last four starts, Farkas has recorded four wins, a pair of shutouts, has only allowed two goals and has posted a 0.983 save percentage. Additionally, in his last 15 games where he has earned a decision, Farkas is 12-3-0-0.
Scoring First: When scoring the first goal of the game this season, the Royals hold a record 14-2-2-0. Victoria also holds a mark of 11-1-2-0 when leading after the first period.
Coming Home: The Royals return to the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre on Friday to kick off a four-game homestand. Victoria will host the CHL's third ranked team in the Portland Winterhawks on Friday and Saturday. Portland will welcome goaltender Joel Hofer back to their line-up. Hofer is returning from the 2020 World Junior Championships where he helped Canada win the gold medal. The Tri-City Americans will then come to town for a pair of games on Tuesday, January 14th and Wednesday, January 15th.
