Kelowna Rockets president and general manager Bruce Hamilton announced today that the Rockets have traded Jadon Joseph to the Tri-City Americans. In exchange for Joseph, the Rockets acquire a conditional sixth-round pick in the 2022 WHL Bantam Draft from the Americans.

"Just because of our situation with the overagers, having the four of them, and of course hitting the trade deadline tomorrow we had to get down to three," said Hamilton. "We're very excited and surprised more than anything that Kyle Topping is going to be back two or three weeks earlier than we ever thought he would be. This has necessitated the decision that we have made to move Jadon Joseph to Tri-City

Jadon has been everything we were told he was going to be when we brought him in, it's just unfortunate that we can't have four 20-year-olds. We wish him the best moving forward."

Joseph was acquired from the Moose Jaw Warriors in late November. The centreman appeared in 16 games for the Rockets, posting six points (one goal, five assists) and six penalty minutes.
