Victoria, BC - The Victoria Royals earned a 2-1 victory over the Portland Winterhawks as newly acquired Brayden Tracey scored the overtime winner and Shane Farkas stopped 42 of the 43 shots he faced.

Overtime Win: Tonight's victory over the Portland Winterhawks marked the first overtime win for the Royals this season. In extra time, Victoria holds a overtime record of 1-2 and a mark of 4-0 in the shootout.

Former team: Victoria netminder Shane Farkas played against his former team for the first time since being traded to the Royals on May 2, 2019. Farkas played for Portland from 2016-19. Over those three seasons, he earned a 47-24-3-4 record, a 2.96 goals against average, a 0.902 save percentage and seven shutouts.

Debut Goal: Victoria's newly acquired forward Brayden Tracey scored in his debut contest with the club tonight. The last Royal to do so was Brandon Cutler on September 21, 2018 against the Prince George Cougars.

Streak Ended: Portland's win streak was halted at six games with tonight's loss. The Winterhawks were last defeated on December 15th, in a shootout, against the Seattle Thunderbirds.
