
Royals Announce Opening Day Roster

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League and the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, today announced the team's 2009-10 Opening Day Roster. The Royals Opening Day active roster includes eleven forwards, seven defensemen, and two goaltenders. Four players who participated in the Royals' training camp have either been recalled by or loaned to teams in the AHL; one player, Marc Cavosie, has been signed by the Royals to an ECHL contract but is currently playing under a Professional Tryout Agreement with the Lake Erie Monsters of the AHL. In transactions also announced today, forward Max Taylor was placed on the three-day injured reserve; and, in a separate transaction, the Royals signed emergency back up goaltender Dan Tormey.
