St. Cloud Rox News Release
St. Cloud, Minn. - The St. Cloud Rox swept the Thunder Bay Border Cats after a 2-1 win Sunday afternoon.
It was a pitchers' dual up until the seventh inning where the Rox scored the first runs of the game on a Liam Bedford double. Two batters later Kyle Serrano drove in Bedford to give the Rox a two run cushion that was needed when the Border Cats threatened in the top of the ninth inning.
The Rox got another dominant pitching performance from their starter. South Dakota State pitcher Andrew Clemen threw seven innings, striking out five batters, allowing only four hits and did not allow a run.
Robbie Petty made his Rox debut in the eighth inning where he struck out two batters. Brian Glowicki got the save after he came in to pitch in the ninth inning.
The Rox are now 4-1 and are in third place in the North Division.
Next the Rox travel to Waterloo, Iowa as they take on the Bucks at 7:05 tomorrow evening.
The St. Cloud Times player of the game was Andrew Clemen. If you are looking for more coverage of the Rox during the season visit www.sctimes.com.
