Brockton Rox News Release
Brockton, MA (August 17, 2007) - Inclement weather and unplayable field conditions at Campanelli Stadium forced the suspension of play between the Brockton Rox and Sussex Skyhawks in the middle of the second inning Friday evening. The game will resume as a regular nine- inning game starting in the bottom of the second inning at 5:05 PM Saturday with Sussex leading 1-0. Game 2 will be a seven-inning affair beginning 30 minutes after the completion of Game 1. Tickets for Friday's game can be exchanged for tickets to the doubleheader or for tickets to any remaining 2007 Brockton Rox home game.
The Skyhawks plated a run on an RBI single off the bat of RF Scott Grimes in the top of the second, but as the Rox came to bat for the bottom half of the inning, rains caused a delay and ultimately suspension. When play resumes Saturday, 3B Melvin Falu will hit for the Rox.
Including tomorrow's doubleheader, the Rox have just six games left at Campanelli Stadium in 2007 and 17 games in the 2007 regular season. Tickets are available for remaining home games by calling the Rox Ticket Office at 508-559-7070 or at www.brocktonrox.com.
