Rox Drop Game One to Stingers

Willmar, MN- The St. Cloud Rox dropped their first matchup of the season to the Willmar Stingers by a final score of 5-2.
Jake Farr (Tennessee Tech) went 2 for 3 for the Rox with a run, and added an RBI on a double in the 8th inning to cut the deficit to just three.
Austin Athmann (University of Minnesota) continued his hot streak, as he added his 10th RBI of the season when he singled in the sixth inning.
Reese Gregory went six innings for St. Cloud, giving up 4 runs on 6 hits in his shortest outing of the season.
The Rox return to action tomorrow night from Willmar, for game number two against the Stingers. First pitch scheduled for 7:05 PM.

After the 6 game road trip, the Rox return home next Sunday the 14th as they host the Wilmar Stingers from Joe Faber Field at 1:05 PM. Sunday represents Rox Drawstring Backpack Giveaway presented by Central Minnesota Credit Union. Also that Sunday is Books & Baseball Day presented by Early Childhood Initiative and United Way. Kids can also run the bases at the conclusion of Sunday's game.
