
Kingfish Players Drafted in MLB Draft

Kingfish pitcher Logan Sendelbach was selected in the 2015 MLB Draft. Chris Godinez, Steven Klimek, Pat Porter, and Steven Sensley, four players from the 2014 Kingfish roster, were also selected in the draft.
Sendelbach was selected in the tenth round (307th overall) by the Pittsburg Pirates. The right-hander excelled on the mound this year at Tiffin University with a 5-3 record in 10 starts with 5 complete games. The junior also produced a 2.84 ERA and 50 strikeouts in 57 innings pitched. Last season for Tiffin, the hurler led the Dragons in innings pitched, complete games, strikeouts, and starts. He was named to the 2014 All-GLIAC Honorable Mention team.
The Los Angeles Dodgers selected Godinez in the 18th round (552nd overall). The junior second baseman from Bradley hit .342 with six home runs and 21 RBIs for the Kingfish last season. Klimek, a junior at St. Bonaventure, was taken in the 33rd round (1003rd overall) by the Baltimore Orioles. The pitcher appeared in 16 games for Kenosha and started six. He finished with a 1-2 record with two saves and 32 strikeouts.
Porter was taken in the 15th round (439th overall) by the Houston Astros. The junior outfielder from Ohio State hit .324 with 10 home runs and 63 RBIs with the Kingfish last summer. The Tampa Bay Rays drafted Sensley in the 38th round (1138th overall). Last season for Kenosha, the first baseman from Louisiana State-Eunice hit .259 with 3 home runs and 23 RBIs.
