St. Cloud Rox News Release

St. Cloud, Minn. - The St. Cloud Rox and the Duluth Huskies played their final game of a three game series Monday night at Joe Faber Field as they went into their second extra innings game. The Rox fell short 1-0 to the Huskies as a scoreless game led them into extra innings.

The Rox and the Huskies went back and forth each making big defensive plays to keep the innings rolling allowing on average one hit an inning.

With the game scoreless throughout regulation it was not until the top of the 11th when the Huskies put up a single to lead off the inning and was followed with a double to score the first run of the game.

Duluth would hold the Rox to allowing only one runner to get on base as Tim Colwell earned a walk on five pitches. Colwell would take second on a pass ball but was unable to advance to tie the game up as Duluth won by a final score of 1-0.

Evan Wolf earned the start on the mound for St. Cloud pitching seven innings and was relieved by Bryce Jackson as he threw two innings of work. Reese Gregory came in to the game in the 10th inning to close out the game for the Rox and recorded the loss to move his record to 1-1 on the season.

The St. Cloud Time's Rox' Player of the Game is Evan Wolf. Wolf started on the mound for the Rox pitching seven innings, allowing only two hits and six strikeouts.
