FRISCO, TEXAS - The Frisco RoughRiders, the Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers, gave up four unearned runs Saturday night in a 5-1 loss to the Midland RockHounds at Dr Pepper Ballpark.

The RockHounds (29-31) tallied a pair of unearned runs in the preliminary innings against Frisco starter Luis Ortiz (1-3). Ortiz did not allow an earned run over his four innings of work, giving up five hits in that span, while walking one and striking out four.

After Midland scored its only earned run of the night on a bloop single by Beau Taylor in the fifth, the RockHounds put the game out of reach with two more unearned runs in the ninth on a two-run single from Matt Chapman.

Down 3-1 in the eighth inning, the RoughRiders (34-25) had a great chance to tie or take the lead, loading the bases with one out against reliever Trey Cochran-Gill, but a strikeout and groundout ended the threat. The opportunity was Frisco's best of the night after Midland starter Chris Jensen (4-4) kept the Riders quiet over the game's first seven innings. Jensen picked up the win after allowing a run on five hits, striking out a season-high seven without allowing a walk.

The RoughRiders put up their only run in the fifth on a RBI single from Joe Jackson, his second RBI single in as many nights. Jackson finished the game 2-for-4.

Major League rehabber Shin-Soo Choo went 2-for-3 with a pair of singles, a hit-by-pitch, and a strikeout.
