Calgary, AB (Thursday, November 3, 2005) - Curtis Palidwor will again be the last line of defence when the Calgary Roughnecks begin the 2006 season.

The veteran goalie - who was MVP when the ‘Necks won the Champion's Cup in 2004 - was today signed to a one year pact by General Manager Kurt Silcott. The deal is subject to National Lacrosse League approval.

Palidwor, 32, made NLL stops in New York, Columbus and Montreal before arriving in Calgary in December, 2002.

He's now played a total of 82 regular season and playoff games in the NLL and during that time has collected 59 assists.

"We're really pleased to have Curtis back," said Silcott. "He's a solid goalie who can rise to the big occasion, just as he did in 2004.

"In a league where good goaltending is absolutely paramount, we're counting on Curtis to come up with the big saves and carry this team into the playoffs, and hopefully to the Champion's Cup."

Over his NLL career, Palidwor has amassed 4,039 minutes in playing time, allowed 893 goals, made 2,641 saves, accumulated a 13.27 goals against average, and a save percentage of 74.73%.
