
Roughnecks Set to Open 2011 Training Camp

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Roughnecks have released their 2011 training camp schedule highlighted by the inaugural Roughnecks Fan Fest and a scrimmage against the Edmonton Rush. Both events are free and open to the public.
The four-weekend training camp in preparation for the 2012 season begins Friday, November 25 at Scotiabank Saddledome. Practice will run from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon followed by another two-hour session at 7:00 p.m. Players and coaches will be available to the media from 1:00 to 1:30 p.m. on Friday.
Join us for the first ever Roughnecks Fan Fest Saturday, November 26 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Scotiabank Saddledome. This event features an opportunity for fans to meet the 2012 Roughnecks and Drill Crew, practice lacrosse skills, and participate in games and prizing. Other activities include: a play zone brought to you by Shakers Family Fun Centre, autograph and photo opportunities, and a chance to win a trip to Colorado to watch the Roughnecks play the Mammoth on February 24 at the Pepsi Center.
As part of training camp, the Roughnecks will participate in two pre-season scrimmages. First, Calgary will travel to Langley, BC, to challenge the Colorado Mammoth on Sunday, December 11 at 8:30 a.m. The Roughnecks will then return to Scotiabank Saddledome to host the Edmonton Rush on Sunday, December 18 at 10:00 a.m.
All training sessions at Scotiabank Saddledome including Fan Fest and the December 18 scrimmage are free and open to the public. Complimentary parking is available in Lot A and the parkade via 5 Street SE. Rosters will be available at Scotiabank Saddledome.
