Calgary Roughnecks News Release
CALGARY, AB - The Calgary Roughnecks will look for their fourth straight win this season and their second against the San Jose Stealth when their western division rivals pay a visit to the Pengrowth Saddledome this Saturday (7:30 p.m. MT, The FAN 960 and NLL.com).
Former Roughnecks' player and fan favorite #13 Tyson Leies will be making a special appearance for the opening face-off.
In their first of two meetings this season, the Roughnecks defeated the Stealth 12-10 in what was both team's season opener on January 9th. Josh Sanderson led his team that night with seven points (2g, 5a), closely followed by Calgary captain Tracey Kelusky who racked up six points (2g, 4a).
The Stealth got off to a slow start this season, losing their first two games to Calgary and Minnesota. On January 18th, San Jose collected their first win of the 2009 season with a victory over Rochester.
San Jose has two crucial players missing in their line-up this game, including starting netminder Matt Roik and transition player Ryan Marshall who both received a one-game suspension from the league last week. Goaltender Aaron Bold will be replacing Roik in net.
Those fans who aren't able to make it down to the Pengrowth Saddledome to watch the Roughnecks and Stealth battle it out can catch all the action at 7:30 MT on www.nll.com.
