May 6, 2016 - United Soccer League Championship (USL)
FC Tulsa News Release

Tulsa Roughnecks F.C. (TRFC) will play its second match in five days in the Pacific Northwest when they take on Seattle Sounders 2 Sunday evening at Starfire Sports Complex, which is located just outside of Seattle. Kickoff is scheduled for 9:00pm Central Time.

Tulsa will look to snap its six-match winless streak in the meeting. It is the only regular season meeting between the two teams this season.

LOOKING FOR A TURNAROUND

The Roughnecks have not posted a win since their season-opening victory over Rio Grande Valley. Their winless streak appeared to be coming to an end Wednesday night in Vancouver, as TRFC twice took a lead in the match, but Whitecaps 2 scored two goals in the final minutes of the match to send the Roughnecks to a 3-2 defeat.

THE OPPONENT

Like Tulsa, Sounders 2 has only one win on the young season, but they are unbeaten in their last three matches after gaining draws in their last two outings. They will enter the match with six points and a 1-3-3 record through seven matches. Seattle's lone victory came in a 1-0 decision over Colorado Springs at Starfire on April 17.

RECENT FORM (Last 5 Matches)

TRFC L - L - L - D - L (April 9-May 4)

Sounders 2 D - D - W - L - L (April 3-May 1)

LAST SEASON - The Roughnecks will look to match the results they had against Sounders 2 last season when they swept the two-game series between the two team. TRFC got a late winner from Lucas Cordeiro in a 4-3 win at ONEOK Field on April 16 before recording an impressive 5-1 win at Starfire on June 5.

OCHOA STRIKES - Roughnecks striker Sammy Ochoa produced his first goals of the season in Wednesday's loss to Whitecaps 2. The Tulsa captain found the back of the net once in each half to register his first brace of 2016 and the second of his Roughnecks career. The former Seattle Sounders forward scored a pair of goals in a 5-1 home win over Arizona United last season. Ochoa's two goals this season lead TRFC as do his two assists.

MACLEOD DEBUT - Kyle MacLeod made his Roughnecks debut in Wednesday' match. The former University of San Diego player started and played 82 minutes against Vancouver.

FEENER 2016 DEBUT - Goalkeeper Jake Feener also made his 2016 debut in the Whitecaps 2 match. Feener, who made 13 regular season appearances for Tulsa last season, was credited with four saves in the contest.

DEFENSIVE STRUGGLES - The Roughnecks have surrendered 11 goals this season, the most by any team in the USL's Western Conference.

The official Watch Party with The Roustabouts will be held at Empire Bar located at 1516 S. Peoria in Tulsa. The Watch Party is open to all fans, ages 21 and over. Empire is an official Pub Partner of the Roughnecks.
