Burlington Bees News Release
August 29 - The A's announced they promoted RHP (#51) Austin House to the Burlington Bees. House started spent most of the season with the Vermont Lake Monsters (SS) of the New York-Penn League. House was a 14th round pick of the 2012 draft out of the University of New Mexico.
August 29 - The Bees announced RHP (#40) Raul Alcantara has been placed on the disabled list due to a strained oblique. Alcantara started the season as a member of the Burlington Bees' rotation before he switched to the bullpen to preserve innings. Alcantara went 6-11 with a 5.08 ERA in 102.2 innings. He led the league with 20 double plays induced. There is no time table for the 19-year-old's return.
August 29 - The A's suspended OF (#51) Rashun Dixon. The outfielder has been placed on the inactive list. No official corresponding move has been made to fill his void on the Bees' roster. Dixon led the Bees with 12 home runs despite only joining the Bees on May 26. The slugger started the season with the Stockton Ports (High-A) of the California League.
The Bees have 24 players on the active roster with three players on the disabled list and one on the inactive list.
