TULSA, OK - The Tulsa Oilers announced the signing of rookie forward Adam Pleskach on Friday. Forwards Thomas Beauregard and Tomas Klempa have been waived.

Pleskach (pless-CATCH), a 25-year old from Beausejour, Manitoba, spent the last four seasons at American International College. During his collegiate career, Pleskach didn't miss a single game and led his team in scoring (15 goals, 17 assists) in his senior season. The 6-2, 210-pound right wing made his professional debut last season with the Evansville Icemen (ECHL). In ten games with the Icemen, Pleskach recorded one goal and seven assists. He played junior hockey for the Selkirk Steelers of the MJHL and registered over 100 points in the 2007-08 and 2008-09 seasons.

"Adam was a standout in juniors and very good player at the collegiate level so I believe he can come in and help our team immediately," said Bruce Ramsay, Oilers Head Coach. "With his size and strength, he adds another physical element to our team and we're excited to see what he can do."

Through the first five games of the season, Beauregard recorded one assist and a -6 rating. Klempa notched one goal and posted a -3 rating.

The Oilers are back on home ice tonight to host the undefeated Missouri Mavericks at 7:35 p.m. Tulsa faces off against Allen at the BOK Center on Saturday night at 7:35 p.m. and travels to Allen for a 4:05 p.m. puck drop on Sunday afternoon.
