Denver's Garett Bembridge Named Easton/CHL Player of the Month

GLENDALE, AZ (November 1, 2013) -The Central Hockey League announced today that Denver's Garett Bembridge has been named the Easton Central Hockey League Player of the Month for October/2013. Bembridge will receive a special gift courtesy of Easton and the Central Hockey League to recognize his accomplishment.

The Melfort, Saskatchewan native recorded points in all five games for the Cutthroats in October, all wins. Bembridge totaled five goals and five assists to go along with his +8 plus/minus rating. The 5-11, 198-pound forward is second in the CHL in scoring, trailing just teammate Troy Schwab (12 points).

Bembridge, drafted by the NY Rangers in 1999 and Calgary in 2001, has two game winning goals in the Cutthroats five games and has a three-point game (Oct. 25) and four-point game (Oct. 30) to his credit this season.

Other players receiving consideration for the monthly award for October include Allen's Darryl Bootland and Alex Lavoie, Brampton's Brett Smith, Denver's Troy Schwab, A.J. Gale and Steve Kaunisto, Missouri's Trevor Kell and Sebastien Thinel, Quad City's Mike Hellyer and Mike Stinziani, Rapid City's Konrad Reeder, Tristin Llewellyn and Jesse Schultz and St. Charles' Chad Costello.
