
Rookie Forward Adds Grit to Mallards Line-Up

Quad City Mallards Head Coach and General Manager Brian Curran announced today that the team has signed forward Cody Doucette. The rookie forward is expected to join the team for tonight's match-up with the Frostbite in Adirondack.
Doucette joins the Mallards after making his pro debut last spring with the ECHL's Florida Everblades. The 6-foot, 203 pound forward played one game in Florida and recorded four penalty minutes.
He joined the Everblades after playing 73 games in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL). He recorded three goals and two assists for five points in his QMJHL career. He also racked up 248 penalty minutes.
The Mallards are on the ice tonight in Adirondack. Game time is 6:05 p.m. central time with a 5:40 p.m. Pre-Game Show on Fox Sports Radio AM 1230. During the intermissions, stay tuned for the Swiss Valley Farms Intermission Report. After the game, the Christy Cox Allstate Insurance Post-Game Show will air.
On Friday, the Mallards make their first ever visit to Danbury. Fans in the Quad Cities can watch the game at The Lodge via the B2 Networks. Admission is $2 per person or $5 for families. Game time is 6:30 p.m. central time.
